Position Overview
The Garden Manager serves as Bonick Landscaping’s primary client representative and steward of excellence across each assigned property. This mid-level management role combines horticultural expertise, account management, and proactive client communication to ensure every landscape under your care thrives and every client feels supported, informed, and delighted.
Each Garden Manager oversees approximately 30–40 client properties within a compact, high-end residential territory. Success in this role requires consistent site presence, thorough documentation, and clear, timely communication with clients, crews, and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Property Management
• Act as the primary representative for all assigned clients—building lasting, trusted relationships through professionalism, responsiveness, and proactive care.
• Conduct biweekly property inspections (minimum twice per month for weekly clients) to identify maintenance needs, plant health issues, and enhancement opportunities.
• Communicate with clients before and after each visit—acknowledging inquiries per the Bonick 5–10 Rule (respond same day before 5 PM, or by 10 AM next day).
• Provide monthly email reports summarizing completed work, property conditions, and upcoming recommendations.
• Manage landscape, irrigation, and plant health care needs in collaboration with Bonick’s internal service departments.
• Present thoughtful, seasonal enhancements and upgrades—meeting Bonick’s goal of quarterly enhancement proposals to existing clients.
Crew & Field Oversight
• Direct and support assigned maintenance crews to ensure proper horticultural practices and quality standards are met.
• Use CompanyCam to document site conditions, progress, and completed work with annotated photo reports.
• Collaborate closely with the Director of Garden Services, Project Managers, and other internal teams to ensure seamless execution.
Sales & Enhancement
• Design and sell seasonal color installations and minor landscape enhancements.
• Identify opportunities for property improvement—drainage, irrigation, pruning, pressure washing, or aesthetic upgrades—and prepare proposals accordingly.
• Coordinate enhancement work and communicate timelines clearly to clients.
Communication & Reporting
• Create detailed site inspection reports using CompanyCam and Bonick CRM/CX systems.
• Submit service requests and internal communications using appropriate departmental email channels (Maintenance, PHC, Irrigation, etc.).
• Ensure prompt and complete follow-up on all client requests, proposals, and issues.
Performance Standards
• 100% Client Retention and Client Satisfaction
• Monthly property report delivered to each client
• Minimum twice-monthly site inspections per account
• 100% acknowledgment and timely response to all communications
• Quarterly enhancement proposals per account
• Positive, collaborative relationships with crews and internal departments
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, or related field preferred
• Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in landscape or garden account management
• Strong working knowledge of horticulture, irrigation systems, and plant health care
• Proficiency with CompanyCam, SmartLink, and CRM/CX software preferred
• Excellent communication, organization, and client service skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
