Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment firm, is currently seeking a French Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year at a Boarding and Catholic school in La Porte, Indiana.

Candidates should also have an interest in living on campus and working in the school’s residential life program. Housing costs are typically covered by the school.

French Teacher Responsibilities:

• Teach four sections of French across all levels (Beginner to Advanced).
• Providing conversational classes where pronunciation and important words and phrases are taught.
• Conducting research on teaching methods, materials, and language games that can be used in class.
• Scheduling and preparing students for oral and written examinations.
• Monitoring student's progress by writing up reports and grading assessments.
• Organizing feedback sessions with students and their parents if applicable.
• Organizing fun events where students can showcase their French language skills.
• Serve as an advisor for students ensuring student success.
• Supervise at least 2 extra-curricular activities/sports for students.

French Teacher Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in French, Education or related required. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven written and verbal proficiency in French.
• At least 3 years of previous teaching experience.
• No teaching license or credential is required.
• Strong interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills.
• A desire to be involved in extra-curricular activities as well as the broader school community.
• Well-organized and able to handle multiple responsibilities.
• Detail-oriented and resilient.
