Our client, a pioneering Generative AI startup, is hiring a Back End Engineer to join their team in Boston, MA. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the foundation of their technology and culture, by collaborating directly with the CTO and founding team to drive product development and impact both technical and strategic decisions.
Responsibilities:
As the Back End Engineer, you will develop, review and deploy production code to ensure the software you create contributes to success.
You will utilize Generative AI tools to improve software quality and efficiency.
Make technical architecture decisions that prioritize speed, quality and long-term sustainability.
Work collaboratively with a diverse team of sales executives, designers and engineers.
Take full ownership of your code throughout its lifecycle, including development, deployment and maintenance.
Communicate transparently, actively seek feedback and ensure alignment with team objectives and decisions.
Skillset:
Expertise in backend technologies, particularly Python, Terraform and GCP.
Experience with a range of backend frameworks, cloud platforms, programming languages, RPCs, databases, CI/CD tools and version control systems.
Demonstrated proficiency in designing and implementing microservices architecture.
Knowledge of AI platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic, HuggingFace, Vertex AI, Bedrock or SageMaker.
Extensive experience in developing enterprise-scale applications with high service level agreements (SLAs).
