Job Description

Field Service Technician – Build, Fix, Teach, Innovate

Some people just get how things work. If you're the kind of person who loves taking things apart, figuring them out, and making them run better than before, keep reading.

GEE Group is working with a leader in industrial equipment solutions , and we’re looking for a Field Service Technician to help install, maintain, and troubleshoot IR measurement devices and heat conductor rollers —essential tools in steel processing. But this isn’t just a "fix-it" job. You’ll also be teaching customers how to use their equipment , making sure they get the most out of it. Plus, if you have experience with AutoCAD or design work , that’s a huge plus.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Setting up and fine-tuning high-tech industrial equipment.
  • Diagnosing and repairing issues before they become big problems.
  • Leading training sessions to get teams up to speed on new equipment.
  • Using AutoCAD (or similar software) to assist with equipment layouts and modifications.
  • Collaborating with a solid technical team to solve challenges as they come.
  • Keeping safety top of mind while working hands-on.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance (degree or hands-on background both work).
  • Comfortable troubleshooting complex equipment without breaking a sweat.
  • Ability to explain technical stuff in a way that makes sense to others.
  • AutoCAD/design experience? Even better.
  • Military veterans encouraged to apply —your experience is highly valued.
  • A self-starter who doesn’t need someone looking over their shoulder.

Why This Role?

You’ll get to work with cutting-edge technology, develop new skills, and make a real impact. No two days are the same, and you’ll be part of a company that values both expertise and innovation.

If this sounds like you, let’s talk!
