About KEWAZO

KEWAZO is a high-tech startup revolutionizing construction and maintenance through robotics and AI. We design and deploy cutting-edge lifting robots for construction sites and industrial plants. This position is based out of our U.S. headquarters in Houston, TX , where we are growing our service and deployment team.

We are looking for a Bilingual Field Service Technician to join our Houston-based team. This role is critical to ensuring customer success through field service, maintenance, and technical support. You’ll work closely with our President and Service Manager , as well as collaborate with our engineering team in Munich, Germany.

If you enjoy working with your hands, solving problems, and interacting with customers , this could be a great fit for you - whether you have field service experience or come from a related background like scaffolding, industrial services, or equipment maintenance.

Your Responsibilities

Pilot Projects & Demonstrations

  • Plan and execute on-site demonstrations and pilot projects
  • Manage logistics, training, and coordination with customers
  • Conduct live demonstrations and hands-on training
  • Be present during the initial phase of a project to train workers on workflow and ensure a smooth start
  • Provide regular follow-ups to support customers and ensure project success

Maintenance & Technical Support

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on our robotic systems
  • Troubleshoot issues remotely via phone and email
  • Provide emergency maintenance support, including occasional weekend availability
  • Travel to customer sites when needed for on-site troubleshooting and repairs

Internal Fleet Management

  • Maintain and service our robotic fleet at the Houston workshop
  • Conduct inspections, preventive maintenance, upgrades and updates

Your Profile

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) – required for effective customer communication
  • Comfortable in industrial environments – experience with refineries, chemical plants, or industrial maintenance is a plus
  • Previous experience in scaffolding is highly preferred – strong understanding of job sites where our system is used
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. and valid U.S. driver’s license – required for travel to customer sites
  • Willing to travel frequently - up to 75% of the time, domestically and occasionally to Canada
  • Flexible schedule – work hours vary based on project needs, including occasional weekends
  • 2+ years of experience in field service or technical support
  • Strong troubleshooting skills – ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly
  • Hands-on mentality – comfortable working with electromechanical systems and willing to get your hands dirty in the workshop
  • Excellent communication skills – able to provide clear guidance to customers and collaborate with team members
  • Construction experience is a plus – understanding how construction sites operate is beneficial

What We Offer

  • Direct impact – your work directly influences customer satisfaction and company growth
  • Fair compensation – based on qualifications and experience
  • Career growth – opportunities to develop your skills in a fast-growing startup
  • International exposure – work with a diverse, global team and gain experience with German engineering
  • Collaborative culture – flat hierarchies, strong team spirit, and a supportive work environment

If you have experience in scaffolding, industrial maintenance, or equipment operation and enjoy hands-on work with a mix of travel and customer interaction, we'd love to hear from you!

We look forward to hearing from you!
