Applied Physical Sciences is seeking a motivated and organized Facility Security Officer to join our team at our Groton, CT location. Tasking may include:

• Oversee NISP operations at HQ location and Pawcatuck Offsite
• Provide initial security briefings to new employees.
• Ensure completion of annual refresher briefings by all office employees.
• Maintain Information Management System (IMS) to ensure 100% accountability of all Classified Assets.
• Maintain office Security Policies and Procedures (SPP).
• Maintain Employee Security Records
• Provide security guidance to office employees.
• Perform personnel security actions including visit requests.
• Prepare and send classified documents
• Maintains facility security documentation and files in accordance with 32 CFR Part 117 requirements
• Prepares necessary paperwork in support of a DCSA annual Security Vulnerability Assessment.
• Travel to other APS sites as required

Required Attributes and Skills:

• Possess and maintain a DoD TOP SECRET clearance.
• Knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) to include 32 CFR Part 117
• Experience with NISS, DISS and NBIS
• Must complete DCSA STEPP FSO Curriculum
• Excellent verbal and written communication in order to provide guidance and advice to management as required, concerning all industrial security functions.
• Associate’s degree and 5+ years of specialized experience

Desired Attributes and Skills:

• COMSEC experience
• Knowledge of DD254 Preparation
• Experience with ACCM Polices and Requirements
• NCMS Industrial Security Professional (ISP) certification is a plus
