Job Description

Overview

Homeland Plumbing & Heating is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in HVAC systems, including ammonia refrigeration and equipment repair. This role involves working in various environments, performing installations, maintenance, and repairs on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The HVAC Technician will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance and efficiency of all HVAC systems while adhering to safety standards.

Duties

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings.
  • Diagnose issues with heating and cooling systems using schematics and mechanical knowledge.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions efficiently.
  • Weld components as necessary to ensure proper functionality of systems.
  • Collaborate with team members to design effective HVAC solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards during service calls.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inventory management.

Experience

  • Proven experience in the field of HVAC with a solid understanding of mechanical principles.
  • Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings related to HVAC systems.
  • Strong background in equipment repair and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Must have a valid drivers license with no restrictions, be able to pass a drug screening and provide references.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
