About The Role

The Executive Director provides strategic leadership and oversight for the entire program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care across all departments. This executive-level position is responsible for developing and implementing nursing policies, aligning clinical practices with state and federal regulations, and advancing the organization’s mission and goals. This role will lead department directors and nursing leadership in staffing strategy, regulatory compliance, clinical quality, staff development, and emergency preparedness. This role requires visionary leadership to foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement in nursing practice.

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive oversight of operations and clinical servicesacross all programsand facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with Texas state regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices in nursing care.
  • Collaborate with organizational leadership on strategic planning,budgeting, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee recruitment, retention, and professional development strategies for nursing leadership and staff.
  • Guide the implementation of quality assuranceand performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
  • Supervise Directorsof Nursing and ensure effective staffing models, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor and support staff education, credentialing, and training initiatives, including orientation programs.
  • Oversee the effectiveness of emergency responseprotocols, including conducting mock codes and evaluating the Code Blue process.
  • Report directlyto the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) and serveas a key member of the executive leadership team.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive nursing leadership experience, including executive-level management
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations and accreditation standards
  • Demonstrated expertise in organizational leadership, clinical operations, and quality improvement
  • In-depth understanding of Texas mental health laws, psychiatric nursing,and patient rights.
  • Advanced clinical skillsin psychiatric and acute care nursing.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and crisis intervention skills.
  • Expertise in time management, staffingcoordination, and emergency response.
  • Ability to implement and oversee trainingprograms and staffeducation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate across departments.

Additional Information

The expected base pay for this role will be between $110,000 to $130,000 annually at the commencement of employment. However, base pay will be determined on an individualized basis and will be impacted by location and years of experience. Further, base pay is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Psychplus Health-sponsored benefits.
