Job Description

A nonprofit organization in New York City is currently seeking an experienced Administrative professional to join their team as their new Executive Assistant. In this role, the Executive Assistant will be responsible for performing administrative and support functions at the highest level.

About the Opportunity:

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Assignment Length: 3+ months
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday (2 to 3 days a week onsite)
  • Hours: 9am to 5pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the CEO and senior staff liaison to the Board of Trustees
  • Schedule the board meetings and board subcommittee meetings and deals with all corresponding logistics
  • Maintain the calendar of the CEO. Schedules internal and external meetings
  • Prepare varied correspondence, including letters, reports, proposals and other documents
  • Develop reports and screen & place phone calls
  • Maintain organization wide records and files
  • Interact with Board members and other VIP's, responding to inquiries and providing information.
  • Handle independent portfolio of institutional administrative projects
  • Perform other related tasks, as requested or assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in an Administrative and/or a related role
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Computer savvy
  • Working knowledge of Google products
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficient
  • Solid problem solving and time management skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized

Desired Skills:

  • Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience in a Multi-site organization
