Job Description

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee all employees, work activities, and fiscal management for our environmental clients Berkley, MI office. You will play a vital role in developing and executing business plans aligned with regional and corporate strategies while fostering a culture of engagement, collaboration, and performance excellence. Reporting to the Vice President, this is a leadership opportunity to drive financial success, team development, and operational efficiency.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring timely review and alignment with goals.
  • Meet profit and utilization targets for assigned staff.
  • Ensure timely completion of administrative financial responsibilities
  • Supervise and engage assigned staff through performance management, training, and career development.
  • Demonstrate accountability for health and safety, quality procedures, and corporate policies.
  • Allocate office resources, manage equipment, and schedule staff effectively.
  • Collaborate with other offices to optimize field staff scheduling and training.
  • Develop and execute annual business plans that include client relationship management, workforce planning, and service delivery.
  • Lead business development initiatives and represent the company at industry events, such as MPA/MACS seminars.
  • Partner with other operations managers to support regional and company-wide goals.
  • Perform project and client management duties as appropriate.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the environmental industry.
  • 5-7 years of experience leading environmental professionals, with familiarity in Michigan’s EGLE Part 201 and Part 213 regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage teams, financial performance, and operational strategies.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • A commitment to fostering a safe, high-performing, and collaborative work environment.
