Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Retail Operations to join our team. This is a unique and rewarding role for a leader who is passionate about empowering entrepreneurs. You will act as a strategic advisor and coach to our franchisees, guiding them to achieve operational excellence and maximize profitability. Your success is directly tied to their success, as your compensation will be heavily influenced by the performance and growth of the franchisees you support. Key Responsibilities
  • Franchisee Coaching & Development: Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of franchisees, providing expert guidance on all aspects of their business operations.
  • P&L Analysis & Financial Guidance: Conduct deep dives into franchisee Profit & Loss statements to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost reduction. Advise on budgeting, forecasting, and key financial metrics.
  • Operational Efficiency: Assess store-level operations to identify inefficiencies in areas such as inventory management, staffing, customer service, and workflow. Recommend and help implement best practices to improve productivity and profitability.
  • Performance Management: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for franchisees. Create action plans for underperforming locations and celebrate the successes of top performers.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong, collaborative, and trust-based relationships with franchisees, acting as a true partner in their business journey.
  • Best Practices & Training: Develop and disseminate training materials, operational standards, and best practices across the franchise network to ensure brand consistency and operational excellence.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in retail management, with at least 3-5 years in a multi-unit leadership role (e.g., District Manager, Regional Manager). Direct experience in a franchise system is highly preferred.
  • Financial Acumen: Expert-level understanding of retail financial statements, particularly the Profit & Loss (P&L) statement . Proven ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Leadership & Coaching: Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and mentor business owners. You must be a patient and effective teacher.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose operational and financial challenges and develop effective solutions.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to build rapport and trust quickly.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or a related field is required. An MBA is a plus.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel regularly to franchisee locations., 50-75
