Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) Specialist with 3 to 5 years of experience to join our IT infrastructure team. The candidate will be responsible for implementing, managing, and supporting the VDI environment to ensure seamless end-user experience, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy, manage, and support VDI solutions using platforms such as VMware Horizon, Citrix, or Microsoft AVD.
  • Perform VDI image creation, updates, and patching.
  • Troubleshoot VDI-related performance issues, connectivity, and application access problems.
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery planning for VDI environments.
  • Monitor system performance, capacity planning, and optimization of resources.
  • Collaborate with IT security teams to enforce endpoint security and compliance policies.
  • Manage user access, profiles, and virtual machine provisioning.
  • Generate documentation for VDI architecture, procedures, and user guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in managing Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
  • Hands-on experience with VMware Horizon, Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp, or Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Strong understanding of Windows desktop and server environments.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Knowledge of VDI monitoring tools and performance tuning.
  • Basic networking skills including firewall, VPN, and load balancing concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • VDI-related certifications (e.g., VMware VCP-DTM, Citrix CCA-V, Microsoft AZ-140).
  • Experience with cloud-based VDI solutions (e.g., Azure, AWS Workspaces).
  • Exposure to scripting and automation using PowerShell or similar tools.
