Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized DENTAL Insurance Coordinator with experience to join our team. The DENTAL Insurance Coordinator will be responsible for verifying insurance coverage, processing claims, and ensuring accurate billing and reimbursement for our patients. The ideal candidate will have experience with medical coding, managed care, and medical terminology.
Responsibilities:- Verify dental insurance coverage and eligibility for patients- Process insurance claims and submit them to insurance companies- Review and resolve any claim denials or discrepancies- Maintain accurate patient records and insurance information- Coordinate with dental office staff to ensure proper billing procedures- Follow up on outstanding claims and unpaid balances- Stay up-to-date with changes in insurance regulations and coding requirements- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Help at front desk answering phones and making appointments.
- Will also help Doctor in presenting treatment when insurance is being used.
Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a dental office setting- Strong knowledge of dental coding, including CPT codes- Familiarity with managed care plans and insurance verification processes- Proficient in using electronic health record systems and dental software applications- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.
