Summary The Pro Group is a leader in the construction supply and equipment rental industry and is looking for drivers. Drive a light vehicle, such as a truck or van, with a capacity of less than 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), primarily to deliver or pick up merchandise. Loading and unloading vehicle of packages up to 100lbs. A current medical examination card is required. Great opportunity to work for a growing company. Duties - Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
- Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
- Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
- Present bills and receipts and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
- Turn in receipts and money received from deliveries.
- Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance with regulations.
- Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions.
- Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles, using telephones or mobile two-way radios.
- Drive vehicles with capacities under 26,000 pounds to transport materials to and from specified destinations.
Requirements - Record daily run sheets .
- Follow safety procedures for vehicle operation.
- Inspect motor vehicles.
- Maintain vehicles in good working condition.
- Report vehicle or equipment malfunctions.
- Load shipments and materials.
- Record details of deliveries or shipments.
- Read maps to determine routes.
- Receive information or instructions for performing work assignments.
- Notify others of emergencies, problems, or hazards.
- Operate vehicles or material-moving equipment.
