Summary
Performs primary screening of Non-Gyn cytology cases including fine needle aspiration samples before presenting to pathologists for review. Performs routine cytology specimen preparatory procedures using established protocols: assists with Fine Needle Aspiration collection and scheduling. Prepares and maintains all lab records for quality control, quality assurance and accreditation agencies.Three years of Cytology work experience preferred.Light lifting up to 25 pounds, general motion including bending, squatting, reaching, carrying, pushing and pulling. Manual dexterity. Ability to speak plainlyNear visual acuity, ability to discern colors. May involve skin, eye, mucous membrane, or parenteral contact with blood or other potentially infectious material.
