Job Description: Cross-Trained Team Member (Cashier & Prep)
**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a motivated and versatile Cross-Trained Team Member to join our dynamic Spudz team! In this role, you will be responsible for both cashier duties and food prep, ensuring a smooth and efficient customer experience from start to finish. You’ll play a key role in delivering outstanding service while helping to prepare our signature loaded potatoes and other delicious offerings.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Cashier Duties:**
- Greet and assist customers with a friendly, positive attitude.
- Accurately take customer orders and process transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Answer customer questions about the menu and make recommendations.
- Ensure all cash handling procedures are followed.
- Manage online and in-store orders, ensuring timely and accurate service.
- **Prep Duties:**
- Assist with preparing ingredients and assembling food orders according to recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station in the prep area.
- Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines, including proper storage and handling of ingredients.
- Support kitchen staff in cooking and assembling dishes during peak hours.
- Ensure all prep work is completed for upcoming shifts, including stocking stations.
**Skills & Qualifications:**
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in both customer service and food prep roles.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety.
- Previous experience in food service, customer service, or cashier roles is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-volume orders.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
**Requirements:**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform light physical labor, such as lifting boxes and cleaning.
