Job Description
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ Years of professional AutoCAD or comparable drafting software experience in a professional setting
- 1+ year of experience working on electrical design for machinery or equipment at commercial buildings. Warehousing, supply chain, fulfillment, manufacturing or distribution facilities experience, material handling equipment preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical , with experience creating electrical schematics, equipment layouts, and BoM take-offs for large commercial or industrial projects.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation purposes.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment while working under the supervision of an Electrical Engineer.
- Familiarity with physical electrical system design is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
The role involves supporting the development of electrical designs and layouts under the guidance of an Electrical Engineer. Specific responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with an Electrical Engineer to design electrical schematics and equipment layouts for site installation teams, ensuring accurate wiring and device placement.
- Utilizing AutoCAD Electrical or similar drafting tools to create detailed electrical schematics and equipment layout drawings.
- Preparing comprehensive Bill of Materials (BoM) lists based on schematics and layouts, facilitating procurement of materials for field installations.
- Leveraging Microsoft Word and Excel to generate BoM lists and related documentation.
