Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Progress Specialist to support construction progress and quantity validation on CM projects with unit rate subcontractors. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on construction experience and a strong understanding of field operations, including piping, electrical, and mechanical work.

The selected candidate will oversee subcontractor progress tracking, ensuring updates are aligned with contractual obligations. While this role does not include tool setup or budget establishment, the specialist will work closely with offsite SMEs and use internal progress measurement software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and validate construction progress and quantities on unit rate contracts
  • Ensure subcontractors provide timely and accurate progress updates
  • Collaborate with offsite SMEs for tool setup and support
  • Utilize internal software for progress measurement (training provided)
  • Report to direct supervisor and participate in virtual interviews with project stakeholders
  • Potential for future site travel and long-term opportunities

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of construction progress and quantity validation experience
  • Prior roles may include Field Engineer, General Foreman, or similar
  • Education:
  • No degree required; hands-on construction experience preferred
  • Candidates with a construction management degree (LG15) and relevant experience will be considered
  • Open to candidates pursuing online or evening education programs
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of construction disciplines (pipe, electrical, mechanical)
  • Ability to learn and use construction progress software
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Location Requirement:
  • Must be local to Boulder or the north Denver area
  • No relocation or travel provisions provided

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in pharmaceutical or manufacturing construction projects
  • Familiarity with companies such as Turner, Aimes, COB Mechanical, Wayfield
  • Knowledge of regional construction practices and subcontractor management
