Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, L&B Realty Advisors is a real estate investment advisor with approximately $9 billion in assets under management. Founded in 1965, the firm provides real estate investment management services to institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals. Clients include public and private pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, Taft-Hartley pension plans, endowments, foundations, and private investors. The firm is comprised of two distinct functions: investment management and independent fiduciary services. As an investment manager, the firm executes full-service investment management from acquisition to asset management to disposition. As an independent fiduciary, the firm provides financial advisory and owner representation services.

L&B is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager / MEP Engineer to oversee construction, acquisitions, and capital programs for a national portfolio of commercial properties. The ideal candidate is a growth-minded, independent, and reliable professional with a strong ability to problem-solve and lead projects to successful completion. They should be highly motivated to take ownership of tasks, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and with a commitment to excellence. This role requires a proactive approach, the ability to develop innovative solutions, and persistence in overcoming challenges within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Location:

Dallas, TX (Travel Required)

Responsibilities:

• Engage, coordinate, and supervise third-party consultants during acquisition due diligence

• Review property condition and environmental site assessments for accuracy and variances

• Act as Owner’s Representative during development and construction. Review, edit, or write narratives or summaries for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Review and approve contractor/developer applications for payment

• Review proposed major capital project scopes of work, budgets, and contractor approvals

• Coordinate and manage construction of capital projects and tenant build outs including manufacturing operations and process systems

• Support and communicate with Portfolio Management and Asset Management Teams

• Other duties as assigned

• Frequent domestic travel is required

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering

• Understanding of general construction beyond the candidate’s area of specialization

• 5-10 years of experience including construction or in-field experience (Registered Engineer or Architect preferred)

• Strong analytical and organizational skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proficiency in cost estimating and AutoCAD (a plus)

• Familiarity with AI tools, including Copilot

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products - Outlook, Word & Excel

• Strong capacity to learn new software

• Willingness to brainstorm and present ideas to leadership and to implement new standards

• LEED AP or willingness to obtain

• Knowledge of ESG+R, DEI, and Climate Change
