Job Description

Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Compensation Analyst to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing, implementing, and managing compensation programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research and analysis to benchmark compensation practices against industry standards and competitors
  • Participate in the design and implementation of compensation programs, including salary ranges, geographic differentials, and variable pay plans
  • Analyze compensation data to identify trends and variances, and recommend changes as appropriate
  • Prepare compensation reports and recommendations
  • Assist with maintaining the job description library
  • Conduct periodic Fair Labor Standards Act analysis
  • Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations regarding compensation and reporting
  • Collaborate with HR and management to develop compensation strategies that align with business objectives
  • Support annual compensation planning processes, including merit increases and bonus allocations
  • Manage the compensation survey participation process and maintain survey library; research and identify new surveys as competitive landscape evolves
  • Provide guidance to HR and management on compensation-related inquiries and policies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in compensation design and analysis, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry
  • Strong knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and relevant laws/regulations
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, HRIS systems)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy
