Job Description

We are seeking a Chemistry Teacher to join the team at one of our partner schools located in the North Hills, CA area. This full-time role is your chance to inspire and empower students by creating a dynamic and supportive learning environment that drives academic success and growth. Pay Rate: $64,276.00 - $102,889.00 annually

Location: North Hills, CA. 91343

Schedule: Full Time (school operating hours)

Requirements:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree
  • Required: California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Chemistry

***Candidates with an intern credential are also considered***

  • Two years of urban teaching experience is preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish or Korean desirable, but not required
  • Possession of either an English Learner Authorization (EL Authorization), Bilingual, Cross-Cultural,
  • Language and Academic Development (BCLAD) certificate; Cross-Cultural, Language and Academic
  • Development (CLAD) certificate; or Bilingual Certificate of Competence (BCC) required.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction based on our school’s curriculum and best practices.
  • Develop and submit weekly lesson plans aligned with California State and Common Core standards.
  • Differentiate instruction for diverse learners, including students with IEPs and English Language Learners.
  • Foster a culturally responsive and positive classroom environment.
  • Participate in weekly instructional coaching sessions and implement feedback.
  • Use supplemental programs to support student learning.
  • Maintain gradebooks and meet grading deadlines.
  • Communicate with families about student progress and behavior.
  • Use planning periods to support student learning and provide tutoring when needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
