Location : Anchorage, Alaska

Division : Transportation

Reports To: Dispatcher

As a Chauffeur here at SALA Medical, LLC, you will play a crucial role in providing reliable non-emergent medical transportation to our clients, ensuring their safe, comfortable, and timely transport to and from medical facilities, appointments, and personal events. Responsibilities :

  • Safe Transportation : Ensure the safe transport of clients using SALA Medical's vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and internal safety protocols.
  • Client Support : Assist clients in boarding and disembarking from vehicles, including those with mobility challenges, always ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Vehicle Readiness : Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is clean, well-maintained, and stocked with necessary supplies. Report any issues or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Professional Conduct : Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times, providing a positive representation of SALA Medical.
  • Training and Development: Participate in required training and certification courses to maintain up-to-date skills and knowledge related to the role.
  • Team Collaboration : Work closely with all co-workers to ensure smooth operations. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
  • Valid Alaska Driver's License with a clean driving record. An AK DMV report will be obtained before hire.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of clients.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in non-emergent medical transportation or similar roles.
  • Training in defensive and distraction-free driving.
  • Knowledge of local geography and routes.
  • Certified Transport Specialist training.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to perform physical tasks such as assisting clients and moving supplies.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
