Position: Capital Markets Analyst - San Diego, CA

About the Role: The primary responsibility of the Capital Markets Analyst is to provide support to the Capital Markets Department as well assist Acquisitions (secondary) in underwriting new deals. The Capital Markets Analyst will report directly to the Director of Capital Markets.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Prepare monthly reports for investor reporting
  • Prepare quarterly investor distribution statements
  • Oversee the desktop valuation of ColRich’s multifamily portfolio 2 x year
  • Prepare annual investor specific valuations
  • Assist with acquisition underwriting of new deals (secondary function)
  • Prepare sensitivity analysis for potential asset sales, outlining returns to investors
  • Maintain Investor relations software (Juniper Square)
  • Maintain various investor databases (capital raises, ownership interests, prior distributions, etc)
  • Maintain various portfolio-level databases summarizing ColRich’s track record

Requirements:

  • Able to perform work alone and as part of a team
  • Self-starter and highly motivated
  • Organized with a high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced), MS Word and Outlook
  • Basic understanding of finance (IRR’s, NPV’s, Profit Multiples, Discounted Cash Flows)
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
