On-Demand Group is currently seeking for a Business Analyst for a 6-month contract engagement.

Title: Business Analyst

Location: Hybrid at Edina, MN

Duration: 6 Month Contract with possibility of extension or conversion

Job Description:

This Business Analyst (BA) role would involve working on a platform initiative working closely with vendor and internal business stakeholders, translating into user stories and working closely with the development team. Analyzing business processes, identifying requirements, and providing data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Tasks include evaluating existing processes, gathering and analyzing data, documenting requirements, and collaborating with stakeholders to implement solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Analysis and Improvement:

Analyze existing business processes (e.g., claims processing, underwriting, financial reporting) to identify areas for improvement. This could involve mapping out current workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and recommending solutions to streamline processes and increase efficiency.

Requirements Gathering:

Work with stakeholders (e.g., underwriters, claims adjusters, finance team members) to gather and document business requirements for new systems, features, or process changes. This might involve conducting interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand user needs.

Data Analysis:

Analyze data from various sources (e.g., claims data, financial data, customer data) to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions. This could involve using data analysis tools and techniques to create reports and visualizations.

Documentation:

Create clear and concise documentation of business requirements, process flows, and system specifications. This documentation serves as a reference for developers, testers, and other stakeholders involved in implementing changes.

Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with various teams (e.g., IT, underwriting, claims, finance) to ensure that business requirements are understood and effectively implemented. This involves strong communication skills to explain complex information in a clear and concise manner.

Testing and Implementation Support:

Participate in the testing and implementation of new systems or processes, ensuring that they meet the documented requirements. This may involve creating test cases, executing tests, and providing support during the rollout of new solutions.

Requirements:

-Significant BA experience

-Experience with Jira, NodeJS, AWS, test automation and Gen AI test automation. Atlassian products and Confluence.

-Passionate and driven. Curiosity, strong communication skills, creativity and ability to learn about products from a business value and technical perspective with a problem solver mentality

-Ability to interface with executive leaders and cross-functional teams as well as the scrum and development teams

Nice to Have:

MPL Insurance, general insurance industry experience with claims, TPA, or fleet management experience

Gen AI experience

The projected hourly range for this position is $60 to $70.
