Job Description

Ampion connects people to community solar projects, making clean energy more accessible and affordable without the need for equipment or upfront investment. We are passionate about helping communities transition to renewable energy while creating meaningful savings for our subscribers.

Location: Bangor/Downeast region (Access to Bangor Office with regular attendance at local events, fairs, and farmers markets)

Position Summary:

Ampion is looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing Brand Ambassador Intern to help supercharge our community engagement efforts this summer! If you're passionate about renewable energy, love meeting new people, and want hands-on experience in marketing and outreach, this is the opportunity for you.

As a Brand Ambassador Intern, you'll be on the frontlines representing Ampion at local farmers markets, festivals, community events and even planning our own Ampion customer events. You'll provide a friendly introduction to Ampion and Community Solar, connect interested people with our sales team for personalized assistance (either in-person or by phone), and always leave a lasting positive impression. It's a fun, high-energy role where every conversation you have helps grow the clean energy movement!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a friendly, knowledgeable, and energetic representative of Ampion at community events.
  • Provide approachable introductions to Community Solar and Ampion’s offerings.
  • Distribute brochures, flyers, and branded giveaways to engage event attendees.
  • Collect contact information and complete lead capture forms
  • Set appointments for interested individuals to speak with a sales representative.
  • Transport and set up booth materials (tent, table, signage) at event locations.
  • Plan and execute Ampion-hosted customer appreciation events, handling all event logistics.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads collected and share feedback on each event.
  • Collaborate with Ampion Management to share ideas and improve outreach strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable sparking conversations with anyone.
  • Outgoing, positive attitude with strong customer service orientation.
  • Highly organized, dependable, and able to work independently.
  • Passionate about renewable energy, sustainability, and making a real impact.
  • Ability to work outdoors, stand for extended periods and setup booth materials (tent, table, signage)
  • Must have access to reliable transportation to attend events.
  • Willing to work weekends

Compensation and Commitment:

  • Approximately 12+ hours per week
  • Hourly rate plus commission
  • Weekends and weekday events (flexible based on event schedules)
  • Seasonal position: June through September (with potential for extension)
