Job Summary
We're Hiring! Part-Time Bookkeeper with Leadership Path (Cincinnati / Liberty Township Area)Are you an expert bookkeeper with an exceptional eye for Quality Control and the ambition to lead a team? Our expanding firm is seeking a highly motivated Part-Time Bookkeeper to join us, with a defined trajectory toward becoming a Team Leader!We are building a team of sharp, growth-oriented professionals to maintain our high standards. This is a critical role focused on accuracy, review, and leadership development.This opportunity is ideal for candidates located in the Liberty Township or Greater Cincinnati area.

Duties

  • Applicants must be a US Resident
  • Location: Must be based in, or within 50 miles of, Liberty Township, Ohio.
  • Experience: 3+ years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • QC Focus: Dedicated to high-level quality control, ensuring flawless financial data.
  • Independence: Must be able to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
  • Technology: Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO) is essential. An advanced QBO ProAdvisor certification is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Non-Profit Experience: Experience working with Non-Profit organizations is a plus.
  • Work Style: The majority of collaboration and meetings are held via Microsoft Teams. Occasional, light travel to a client's place of business in the local area may be necessary.Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for accurately.
  • Assist in payroll processing and ensure timely payments to employees.
  • Utilize accounting software: QuickBooks
  • Perform budget analysis and assist with budgeting processes as needed.
  • Maintain general ledger accounting by recording debits and credits accurately.
  • Provide support for tax preparation and compliance as required.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide insights on financial performance and assist in account analysis.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably in corporate, non-profit, or governmental accounting environments.
  • Strong knowledge of financial concepts, GAAP principles, and technical accounting practices.
  • Proficiency in using various accounting software tools (QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero) is essential.
  • Familiarity with double-entry bookkeeping methods and general ledger reconciliation processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail for accurate financial reporting.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Experience with payroll processing is a plus; familiarity with tax regulations is beneficial.
