This organization specializes in freight operations and fleet management, serving clients across regional and national routes. They are seeking a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage and oversee all financial recordkeeping functions. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong accounting experience and a passion for operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description As the Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting tasks and supporting strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities: - Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks (Online or Desktop)
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Process payroll and handle related tax filings
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations
- Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and recommendations
Qualifications Required: - Minimum 3 years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred: - Experience in the trucking, transportation, or logistics industry
- Familiarity with payroll tax filings and regulatory compliance in multi-state operations
