Centerbrook Architects is a nationally recognized design practice known for our creative, collaborative approach to architecture and planning. We are seeking a BIM Manager to advance our use of design technology and support our diverse team of architects and designers.

Position Overview

The BIM Manager will act as the day-to-day liaison for project teams on all design technology matters. This role involves managing BIM processes across multiple projects, developing and enforcing office-wide standards, providing training and support, and collaborating with IT to ensure smooth software and hardware operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver, passionate about innovation, and skilled at fostering collaboration between teams and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • BIM & Revit Management: Oversee Revit usage across all projects, including file structures, templates, families, add-ins, and automation.
  • Standards Development: Establish, document, and maintain office BIM standards; automate routines to support efficiency and consistency.
  • Training & Mentorship: Deliver onboarding, training programs, and continuing education on Revit, BIM processes, and emerging tools.
  • Project Support: Assist teams with project setup, model coordination, detailing, and creation of custom families. Provide just-in-time technical support.
  • Technology Integration: Evaluate, recommend, and implement new software tools; stay informed on best practices with Revit, AutoCAD, BIM, AI, visualization tools, and performance analysis software.
  • Coordination with IT: Manage software licensing, installations, and updates; coordinate troubleshooting; advise on hardware purchases and upgrades.
  • Collaboration & Outreach: Work with consultants, vendors, and the BIM technology community to ensure seamless integration and continuous improvement.
  • Budget & Planning: Help prepare annual technology budgets and monitor updates throughout the year.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Advanced expertise with Autodesk Revit and BIM workflows.
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and BIM360 platforms.
  • Proficiency in Dynamo, PyRevit, and other automation tools.
  • Familiarity with design-related software such as AutoCAD, Enscape, Lumion, and Twinmotion.
  • Awareness of design performance analysis tools (Climate Studio, OneClick, Tally, Forma, etc.).
  • Experience with sustainability modeling tools, such as cove.tool.
  • Strong communication and teaching skills for mentoring and training staff.
  • Ability to coordinate with IT on hardware, networking, and troubleshooting needs.
  • Passion for innovation and staying current with emerging technologies.
