Deposit Services Representative I

Department: Deposit Services

Reports to: Deposit Operations Manager

Supervises: None

Status: Non-Exempt / Full-Time On-site

Level: Level 4

Location: Sanford, ME

Must already be authorized to work in the United States. Relocation is not provided.

Summary for the Deposit Services Representative:

Assists other members of the Deposit Services Department with processing of daily work . Assumes other Deposit Services duties when there is an absence within the department. Provides internal and external support for all deposit account products. This person must be patient, able to research, problem-solve, handle a very busy atmosphere and have the ability to handle stressful situations and resolve customers issues and complaints. Must be able to meet daily deadlines.

Job Requirements for the Deposit Services Representative:

  • One year of employment experience with Partners Bank or financial institution setting
  • Familiar with Regulation E and Regulation CC
  • Working knowledge of ACH
  • Working knowledge of Partners Bank products and services
  • Excellent internal/external customer relations
  • Must be organized with ability to multitask
  • Must be a team player

Specific Job Functions for the Deposit Services Representative

  • Process un-posted items, Charge Backs, Check adjustments, and check images in excess of $5,000 for endorsement and signature, stop payments, notice of holds, A9 Forms, ID Theft 911 Enrollments, ACH disputes.
  • Processing Encoding/Listing Errors, IAT Transactions, review & redirect Incoming ACH Exception items.
  • Process SSI Notification Requests, Deposit Verifications
  • Respond effectively to customer inquiries in regard to fees and discrepancies and research requests
  • Perform some Electronic Banking functions, including phone & email support, remote deposit capture, pin resets and limit controls. Willing to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Cross train in Core Department to assist with their daily tasks.
  • Assist bank with new CD Listing Service program.
  • Scanning documents into FDM Document Imaging system.
  • Approve RegD exceptions and charge account accordingly.
  • Monitor and research savings and Savings & DD Unposted General Ledger
  • Research and mail exception statements and distribute in-house statements
  • Track pending signatures for Stop Payments on checks
  • Verify wires
  • Responsible for placing holds on accounts for Large Dollar Notifications
  • Assist with court subpoenas
  • Print and mail afternoon reports
  • Handle returned mail
  • Process and file check orders
