Job Description

We’re looking for an Associate Creative Director for John Reed and Heimat , who lives and breathes fitness and culture, and can bring that pulse into every idea, every campaign, and every execution. You’ll partner with the Creative Director to lead concept development, campaign thinking, and execution across a team of talented designers, writers, and content creators. This isn’t about checking boxes—it’s about building a brand that punches above its weight in every medium, from bold social storytelling to high-impact film and design. Whether the brief is an OOH activation, a brand anthem film, or a paid social campaign—you know how to tell a powerful story, create tonally cohesive work, and push for impact across every touchpoint. This

This role is on-site, based in West Hollywood.

Responsibilities

  • Concept and execute integrated campaigns across brand marketing, film, paid social, OOH, photography, performance, and more.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director on campaign platforms, concept development, and executional strategy.
  • Work closely with project managers and creative ops to ensure timelines are realistic, schedules are aligned, and deadlines are met without compromising creative integrity.
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback and direction to the Creative team.
  • Stay ahead of global trends in lifestyle, luxury, beauty, hospitality, wellness, social content, and creative storytelling—and bring that insight to the table daily.
  • Manage shifting priorities, fast turnarounds, and evolving briefs with grace and solutions-oriented thinking.
  • Write, review, and collaborate on conceptual work with a strong emphasis on storytelling and brand tone.
  • Prep decks and creative presentations for reviews, pitches, and internal alignment.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in creative, copy, art direction, or brand work with proven campaign experience, ideally with experience in lifestyle, fitness, fashion, or culture-driven industries.
  • Portfolio that shows sharp creative instincts, strong brand writing, and concept-to-execution thinking across platforms.
  • Deep understanding of fitness and gym culture—with a point of view on where it’s going next.
  • Expert writing skills with a sharp eye for tone, structure, and narrative flow.
  • Experience developing brand-level and campaign-specific messaging with a clear tone of voice.
