Assistant Project Manager – Water/Wastewater Construction

Up to $130k base + truck allowance, 401k, and bonus

A self-performing heavy civil contractor is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to lead their Water/Wastewater work across the Dallas metro. This is a field-first leadership role, focused on keeping complex public projects running smoothly, safely, and on budget.

What You'll Do

• Lead project execution for Water/Wastewater infrastructure work
• Manage schedules, budgets, submittals, and subcontractor performance
• Ensure field teams deliver high-quality work aligned with specs and owner expectations
• Coordinate closely with inspectors, engineers, and client reps to avoid delays
• Own documentation, forecasting, and reporting from start to close-out
• Monitor compliance, materials, safety, and quality control
• Drive resolution of field issues, RFIs, and change orders

What You’ll Need

• 4+ years of experience managing heavy civil wastewater projects (utilities, earthwork, structures)
• Proven track record running public sector infrastructure jobs
• Strong understanding of drawings, specs, and contract compliance
• OSHA 30 and strong knowledge of construction standards and practices
• Effective leadership and communication skills with both field and office teams
