What we are looking for

We are currently seeking an experienced Analyst to join our Acquisitions and Investments team. This role will focus on the review and valuation of new acquisition opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze financial and operational information of acquisition / re-cap opportunities to determine key performance metrics like NOI growth, IRR, MOIC, Cap Rate, Yield-on-Cost, Promote, etc.
  • Work alongside the Associate(s) and SVP of Investments to complete underwriting materials for new acquisitions / re-cap opportunities.
  • Help manage correspondence with brokers and sellers to stay on top of completing accurate underwriting and meet key deadlines.
  • Create and organize underwriting materials and presentations for current and new joint-venture partners.
  • Collaborate with internal groups to provide full disclosure of new opportunities and solicit feedback on key underwriting assumptions.
  • Collaborate with the capital markets team to work with lenders on debt quotes.
  • Collaborate with the insurance team to work with the insurance brokers on quotes / estimates.
  • Work alongside the Associate(s) and SVP of Investments to submit offers and manage due diligence and closing requirements.
  • Assist with all due diligence relating to new investments, including the review of business plans, third party reports, title/survey, historical financial statements, leases, vendor contracts, and market research.
  • Lead disposition efforts for capital partners
  • Successfully complete ad hoc requests with a high level of accuracy and presentation.
  • Successfully juggle multiple projects and meet key deadlines.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Education / Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree in Real Estate Finance and/or Business Finance with one to four years of experience in acquisitions, asset/portfolio management, or investment banking.
  • Financial analysis/underwriting experience including advanced modeling skills in Excel.
  • Demonstrate an ability to communicate clearly and effectively with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize between multiple projects with deadlines in the same timeframe with an exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team to build relationships and interact effectively while possessing excellent self-motivational and entrepreneurial skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with specific high degree of skill in Excel.
  • Ability to recognize and solve problems with ownership and accountability.
